Hi, we’re Denise & Melissa.

     We are a mother and daughter team who work together caring for children. We have a vast experience with each of us working in a variety of different settings such as babysitting, crèche, childcare centres, OSHC, as well as being Sunday School, youth group, and kids’ club leaders. Denise has also had 16 years of being a foster parent. We have also worked within DECD Family Day Care for 8 years. As of 2016, we have since left FDCA and now run our own business privately.

     We both hold a Certificate 3 in Education (SSO) and a Diploma in Children’s Services. In addition, we have qualifications in Provide First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, Responding to Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RAN-EC), and also have our Working With Children Check. We also have Understanding & Responding to Child Abuse & Exploitation Certificates.

Melissa is now a qualified teacher and works part-time as a TRT.

As Christians, we at Busy As Bees believe that every child is precious & should be able to have fun in a safe environment, yet still have boundaries. We also believe children should be supported & encouraged in their learning, have respect for others & be taught about appropriate & inappropriate behaviour.
