Our Policies
Communication
We would like an honest & open relationship with you. We find talking and telling parents what their child/children have done during the day is a good way of direct communication. If you would rather have a communication book, this can be arranged on request. Please feel free to discuss any issue that is of concern to you.
Behaviour Management
It is our responsibility to model positive behaviour and language. We will talk to the child about their actions if they are using behaviour that we think is inappropriate. We also teach the children that their actions have consequences It may be that we place the child on the thinking chair for a short time in the same room as we are, so they can think about what they have done.
Child Protection Reporting
It is our responsibility to report any cases of
suspected child abuse to the appropriate
authorities.
Safe Practices
We will try and supervise your child/children. At times children will play unsupervised so they can explore and have fun. We will watch out for any hazards & will remove them if we feel they will cause harm to the children in any way. The equipment is checked regularly to make sure it is in good condition. Our home meets the National Standards.
Evacuation Policy
Busy As Bees has an evacuation plan & it will be practiced with the children once every 3 months or when another child joins. If we have to leave the house for any reason, we will notify you by phone as to where you can pick up your child/children.
Educator Emergency
From time to time we all have emergencies so if we are unable to look after your child/children we will inform you as soon as possible.
